Last year, I wanted to replace the siding on the south side of my house. I wanted someone local and trustworthy who could work with Hardie fiber cement siding to replace the wood siding on a 34 year old house. I was a bit nervous about what would appear when the siding came off as this is the “weather side” of my house. I checked several sources, including the Santa Cruz Construction Guild, and ultimately chose Dan Forshner Construction.
I found Dan and his crew to be honest, straightforward and professional. He was on time, on budget, and performed a few other tasks (negotiated extra) which came up during the work, including replacing window trim on the inside of the house and some drywall work. His painting subcontractor did a quick and beautiful job. The siding looks great, and blends in well with the rest of thehouse. I am very happy with Dan’s work and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to others.
